This is the extended version of the track. The Night Vale version had to be no longer than 5 minutes. A vague yet menacing government agency instructed me to "Kill my Darlings," but I hid them here, where it is safe, because maybe you will like the song that way, and as for myself, I can't decide.

The additional lyrics are about using drugs or questionable therapies/modalities/cults/risky /humanitarian missions to feel better. Isn't a humanitarian someone who eats people??
